NGC 6946 - The Fireworks Galaxy and an open star cluster (NGC 6939) both in the constellation of Cepheus.
The Fireworks Galaxy is about 18 Million light-years away from earth and is a small spiral galaxy at only 40,000 light-years across (about 1/3 the size of our Milky Way Galaxy).
