IC 1396 - The Elephant's Trunk Nebula
The Elephant's Trunk Nebula is a dense region of interstellar gas and dust about 20 light-years long situated within a much larger ionized gas region know as IC 1396 and is located in the constellation Cepheus.
IC 1396 is located about 2,400 light-years from Earth.

Exposures (for Narrowband SHO photo): 19 one-minute exposures binned 2x2 using a Baader high speed narrow-band Ha filter, 10 two-minute exposures binned 2x2 using a Baader high speed narrow-band OIII filter and 5 two-minute exposures binned 2x2 using a Baader high speed narrow-band SII filter.
Exposures (for Narrowband Ha photo): 19 one-minute exposures binned 2x2 using a Baader high speed narrow-band Ha filter.
