NGC 7293 - The Helix Nebula
NGC 7293 - The Helix Nebula a.k.a. The Eye of God is a planetary nebula that was formed when a star similar in mass to the Sun reached the end of its life, shed its outer layers into space and collapsed into a white dwarf star about the size of Earth.
It is located
in the constellation Aquarius and is about 650 light-years away from Earth.
