Southern end of Lake Sonoma (Warm Springs arm), which is 100 miles north of San Francisco near the Sonoma/Mendicino county line. The lake was built and is operarted by the Army Corps of Engineers. Lake Sonoma is the nearest destination for reliably dark skies.
